PETROSCOPE®: a great teaching tool for Petroscopic thin sections. University geologists have been using PETROSCOPE® thin section projector/viewer to demonstrate thin section characteristics to students in the USA since 1995 when the first PETROSCOPE® was introduced.
PETROSCOPE® is a Projection-Macroscope which projects enlarged images of translucent specimen slides onto a vertical viewing screen. Unlike conventional microscopes, PETROSCOPE® renders the image accessible to a group of viewers, resulting in enhanced communication between instructor and students in the process of imparting the instruction medium. Due to its concept PETROSCOPE® can be utilized in all fields of Science and Education which require macroscopic magnification of up to 100x. |
